Performance monitoring & evaluation

In order to reflect changes in the environment of a project and allow for flexible adaptation, Health Focus, together with SUSTAINUM – Institut für zukunftsfähiges Wirtschaften Berlin, have developed an evaluation tool called „project performance measurement“. This tool was tested in a pilot evaluation of a public sector workplace project in Tanzania in December 2012. A set of questions allows from the start of the project and during implementation the critical evaluation of process and results quality. It has a clear process orientation, includes beside the technical fit also the psychological fit, a critical factor, which is too often overlooked, and integrates the perspective of the beneficiaries. It integrates both, the DAC criteria as well as the Capacity WORKS success factors. On the 28.08.2013 this tool will be presented to and discussed with GIZ evaluation specialists in Eschborn.
