Improvement of Health Care in Tanzania
The Health Focus and evaplan consortium has been awarded a contract by the GIZ to implement an 18-month project in Tanzania. The project is designed to improve health care quality in two regions, Mbeya and Tanga, with a particular focus on maternal and new-born health. Our project team, comprised of national and international long- and short-term experts, will build local capacity in emergency obstetric and new-born care (EmONC) and family planning (FP), as well as in planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
From the 9th to 11th of December 2020, the project planning workshop was held in Tanga. The workshop was comprised of two parts; the first part focussed on internal planning and the second part involved key stakeholders to clarify expectations and coordinate activities. The workshop was very helpful in developing a common understanding about the intervention and of how to implement the activities in close collaboration with the project partners.
