Accreditation tool to evaluate and monitor the eligibility and the quality of psychosocial, legal and socio-economic services to victims of SGBV in DRC

Objectives: The aim of this intervention is to provide a tool and to empower the provincial institutions in implementing and using a regulatory framework to accredit and monitor organizations engaged in the field of SGBV

Content: During the last 2 decades political crises and armed conflicts have affected the social, economic and political systems in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Sexual and gender based violence (SGBV) is wide spread and multiple actors engage currently in the care for survivors of SGBV. Governmental institutions and UN agencies have expressed the need for an improved coordination of these interventions. Health Focus has been assigned by the International Rescue Committee (on behalf of the World Bank) to establish a system introducing an authorization-procedure to officially certify organizations intending to or providing psychosocial, legal and socio-economic reintegration services to survivors of SGBV in South Kivu. The aim of this intervention is to empower the provincial institutions in implementing a regulatory and accreditation framework to monitor organizations engaged in the field of SGBV.
